Future Perfect Tense

The future perfect tense shows that the action will be finished by a certain future date. The third form of a verb is used. ( 3rd form ). “will have” and “shall have” are the helping verbs. “ will have “ is used with you, he, she, it, they, and all nouns. “shall have” is used with I and we only.

Affirmative sentences 

(will have, shall have) are used as helping verbs. And 3rd form of a verb is used. “ will have “ is used with you, he, she, it, they, and all nouns. “shall have” is used with I and we only.

Formation (Formula of Future Perfect Tense)

Sub + helping verb ( will have, shall have) + 3rd form of verb + object.

Examples:

  • I shall have taken a bath.
  • Girls will have clapped and danced.
  • Boys will have to make a noise.
  • He will have reached home.
  • Many students will have participated in sports.
  • You will have played.
  • We shall have listened to a story.
  • She will have to make tea.
  • I shall have played football.
  • They will have worked hard.

Negative of the future perfect tense

When we have to make negative sentences, we use not after (will, shall) and before be.

Formation:

Subject + helping verb ( will, shall) + not + have + 3rd form of verb + object.

Examples:

  • I shall not have taken a bath.
  • Girls will not have clapped and danced.
  • Boys will not have to make noise.
  • He will not have reached home.
  • Many students will not have participated in sports.
  • You will not have played.
  • We shall not have listened to a story.
  • She will not have to make tea.
  • I shall not have played football.
  • They will not have worked hard.

Interrogative Sentences

In the case of interrogative sentences, the helping verb (will, shall) is placed at the start of the sentence before the subject and be is placed after the subject. And a question mark is added at the end.

Formation:

Helping verb ( will, shall) + Subject  + be + 1st form of verb + ing + object + ?

Examples:

  • Shall I have taken a bath?
  • Will girls have clapped and danced.?
  • Will boys have to make noise?
  • Will he be riding reached home?
  • Will many the students have participated in sports?
  • Will you have played?
  • will we have listened to a story?
  • Will she have to make tea?
  • Shall I have played football?
  • Will they have worked hard?
