Future Indefinite Tense

which from of verb is used in future indefinite tense? In the future indefinite tense first form of the verb is used. This tense shows the action that is still to come. “will, shall” are the helping verbs of this tense. “will” is used with 2^nd person pronoun i.e. you and 3^rd person pronouns i.e. he, she, it, they, and all nouns. “shall” is used with 1^st person pronoun “I” and “we”.

Affirmative sentences 

Firstly 1^st form of a verb is used.

Secondly, will and shall are used as helping verbs.

Future Indefinite Tense Formation

The formation of Future indefinite is given as.

Sub + helping verb ( will, shall) + 1^st form of verb + object.

Examples:

• The teacher will guide his students.
• I shall drive the car.
• We shall wait for you.
• Peon will ring the bell.
• I shall go for a morning walk.
• He will help us.
• We will pass the exams.
• They will do their work.
• Ali will win the competition.
• The prime minister will resign.

Negative of future indefinite tense

When we have to make negative sentences, we use not after helping verb.

Formation :

Subject + helping verb ( will, shall) + not + 1^st form of verb + object.

Examples:

• The teacher will not guide his students.
• I shall not drive the car.
• We shall not wait for you.
• Peon will not ring the bell.
• I shall not go for a morning walk.
• He will not help us.
• We will not pass the exams.
• They will not do their work.
• Ali will not win the competition.
• The prime minister will not resign.

Interrogative sentences

In the case of interrogative sentences, the helping verb (will, shall) is placed at the start of the sentence. And a question mark is added at the end.

Formation :

Helping verb ( will, shall) + Subject + 1^st form of verb + object + ?

Examples:

• The teacher will not guide his students?
• I shall not drive the car?
• We shall not wait for you?
• Peon will not ring the bell?
• I shall not go for a morning walk?
• He will not help us?
• We will not pass the exams?
• They will not do their work?
• Ali will not win the competition?
• The prime minister will not resign?
